Introduction

Radiofrequency microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles and radio frequency waves at the same time to rejuvenate facial skin. 

The treatment is a form of controlled skin injury. It stimulates the growth of healthy new skin, bu creating new collagen fibres that can benefit common skin issues, like acne, skin texture, scars and wrinkles, enlarged pores. The treatment is often compared to treatments with the use of a laser. However the radio frequency micro needling is minimally invasive in comparison to laser.

What to expect ?

To make you more comfortable before the procedure we apply the topical numbing cream . Then RF micro needling device is used on the areas of the skin. We usually use the few different depths (between 1-3) in one area together with the insulated needles and the heat.

One session takes about an hour or less depending on the on the problem of the skin that is being treated.

Recommendation

Usually at least three to six sessions are recommended for optimal results, and then usually once every six months to maintain the effect.

Side Effects

Although the microneedling with RF procedure is extremely safe some mild some affects are expected.

These can include redness and swelling around the treated side. Also the feeling warm similar to sunburn.
